August 6, 2009 5:30-7:30 p.m.

A Rob Drabkin show can range from a small club, him on stage solo with his Martin, to a venue such as Boulder’s Fox Theatre packed with 300 people, him on stage with a full band, complete with bass, drum kit, keys, tenor saxophone, cellos, a violin, and the occasional accordion. Regardless of the venue or fellow performers, Rob can hold an audience captive, playing a variety of songs from sappy ballads to drinking songs, tossed together with the occasional cover that ranges from Disney to Paul Simon to Nelly. Any Rob Drabkin show is entertaining and his career consistently advances as he gains fans and recognition wherever he plays. All proceeds from refreshments benefit League for Animals and People of the Summit (LAPS)

Aug.  13, 2009 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Sometimes the maturation process of a musical artist happens before our very eyes, and in the case of Denver based Jason Vigil, the act of writing, recording and performing over the last few years has helped that process along. Vigil released his debut, Heart Gone Sober (2006) to a sold out Walnut Room in Denver, and he’s now back with Sometimes Always, (September 9) an EP that fully displays his maturity as a singer, songwriter and performer. All proceeds from refreshments benefit Summit County Preschool.

Funkiphino is a hugely popular and in-demand Colorado horn band. They’ve been called Colorado’s “best kept musical secret”. The 12 members of the high energy funk bank infuse explosive horn lines, old-school Hammond organ sounds, pumpin’ bass, with their intoxicating vocals and slammin’ harmonies. Whether performing for the President of the United States in Washington, DC, for major sports franchises, for VIP parties catering to Hollywood elite, or for socialites across the country – Funkiphino is the band on the scene. All proceeds from refreshments benefit Friends of the NRO.
