July 4, 2011 – 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Kids can fish at the stocked fishing pond at Meadow Creek park from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.. They must bring their own fishing poles and bait and can keep any fish they catch. This is a free event!

The pond will be stocked for the fishing derby event only, not year round. Each participant will receive a ribbon with a special fish pin. The kids that catch the three longest fish will get “bragging rights” in the Summit Daily newspaper. There will be Town of Frisco recreation staff on hand to help measure the fish.

This event is open to kids 15 and under and a fishing license is not required if under 16 years of age.

Please keep your pets on leash or leave them at home (Fido wouldn’t like getting a hook in his paw and splashing dogs make it tough to catch that longest fish!)
