Main Street To The Rockies

History

FallFestĀ brings light on our current forest issues. This event raises money and awareness to protect the beauty of our surrounding area. Thanks to our supportive community the first year saw great crowds and raised much needed funds to continue the good work of Friends of the Dillon Ranger District.

In 2008 the wild rumpus began with KSMT’s crazy costume crit and ended with a 1970′s VW Bug shattered remains towed off the street. The community came out in force to pet Rosie the tarantula and eat Sour Cream an Onion Larvae, but the highlight of the day had to be the Dunk the Bug, bravely manned by Rick Herwehe from a Cut above Forestry braving the cold water on a cold day. The Colony (committee for those of you not in the Beetle business) would like to thank Dan Gibbs and Christine Scanlan for there informative contribution. The 1st year was a true success leading the pathway for bigger and better things.
