The Motet consecrates the ground on which dance music meets free-form improvisation. |

3:30 pm – 5:30 pmSons of BillSons of Bill are a country rock band from Charlottesville, Virginia, that formed in the fall of 2005. At its core are brothers James, Sam, and Abe Wilson, the sons of Bill Wilson, the source of the band’s name. The brothers returned to Virginia from very different paths in life to form a band based in the country music they grew up learning from their father while bringing along their interests in rock and jazz to influence their sound.J In 2006 the band won the University of Virginia’s battle of the bands. They took their prize – recording time at Crystalphonic Studios – and cut their first album, “A Far Cry From Freedom,” which sold over 1000 copies within its first 8 months. |

With their hyperactive, self-conscious diversity, goofy sense of humor, and sharp social commentary, the group gained a sizable cult following during the late ’80s, yet they were never able to earn a mainstream audience. |

It’s been called honky-tonk, Americana, and Texas Roots. As a musician he expresses the joy and suffering of being alive. Clay is a soulful singer-songwriter and musician whose talent brings out emotions and moods in his audience. Clay has been creating his unique sound for nearly a decade. Some of his influences are his father- Delbert McClinton, Rodney Crowell, Mark Knopfler, J.J. Cale, Terry Allen, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and Willie Nelson. |

Their sound has been compared to Maceo Parker, Karl Denson, Soulive, Charlie parker and The Funky Meters |

Chenier stepped onto the main stage at the 2001 Chicago Blues Festival and looked over the crowd of 60,000 eager fans, he had one thing in mind: get them on their feet and make them dance. Almost immediately after launching into their first song, C.J. Chenier and The Red Hot Louisiana Band had people young and old shaking their hips and cheering in unison. |
