More than BBQ – It’s Dad’s Weekend

We all love Dad, but finding the perfect way to say it on Father’s day  isn’t always easy.  The Frisco, Colorado BBQ Challenge offers you a unique way to say I love you with a weekend of outdoor fun every Dad can enjoy.

The perfect weekend for Dad starts early Thursday, June 13th is the BBQ kick-off concert at 7:30 pm.  What Dad wouldn’t want to leave work and dance.  Then get some sleep for a big day of BBQ fun.  Friday the BBQ starts at 11 am with over 65 teams competing for the glory of $17,000 in prizes.  The best part is you can taste it all from St. L0uis style to Kansas City and a few points in between. They always say “the way to a man’s heart…”  Friday night offers a more in depth look at the art of BBQ with our famous Rub it, Smoke it, and Sip it, Breckenridge Whiskey Tour.  Its a behind the scenes look at professional BBQing with the added benefit of a deeper understanding of fine whiskey.  Tickets are limited so book now!  Rock out at concerts, make  your bets on Pig races and enjoy the rest of your day.  Saturday it starts all over again offering you one more chance to try it all.  On Sunday Father’s Day, come to Frisco Main Street for brunch at one of our five fabulous breakfast restaurants.  Grab a boat and head out on the water or take up a game of golf for the perfect end to the weekend.  Whatever you decided to do Dad will be happy and proud to have such a loving family.

If your essay is chosen, your Dad will win a two night stay (2 bedroom condo courtesy of Mountain Managers for Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15), 2 tickets to the Breckenridge Whiskey Tour on Friday, June 14 (must be 21 or older) plus 100 Hogback tickets to use at the BBQ event. Entries will be accepted starting April 23, 2013 through May 24, 2013.
