The 14th Annual Colorado Barbecue Challenge will hit Main Street in Frisco, Colorado on June 15 - 16, 2007. Save the date for Colorado's favorite weekend of live entertainment, pig races, kids' games and of course great BBQ!
Over 65 BBQ teams competed in 2006 and brought the best tasting brisket, ribs, pork, chicken and unique rubs and sauces that helped raise over $67,000 for our local non- profits. Interested in competing in 2007? Applications will be available online starting November 2007. Become a piggy backer and market your business for a good cause. The 13th annual Coors Colorado Barbecue Challenge brought to Frisco an estimated 16,000 visitors, 65 BBQ teams and 82 judges from across the United States. The BBQ Challenge is an American tradition combining BBQ, community and good times. The BBQ raises awareness and funds for our two non- profit partners the Summit County Restaurant Association Pro Start education program and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. Love BBQ, but hate to cook? Put your taste buds to the test and register today to judge the 2007 contest. Kansas City Certified Judges will be given first priority. Not yet KCBS certified or need to renew? Sign up today for the Certified Judges School scheduled for June 14, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in Frisco. Class is $60 for non-KCBS members and $35 for KCBS members.
