The 15th Annual Colorado Barbecue Challenge will hit Main Street in Frisco, Colorado on June 13 - 14, 2008. Get your fill of tasty BBQ starting at 12:00 (noon) on Friday to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Over 60 BBQ teams compete for your taste buds in the biggest street picnic of the summer.

BBQ has something for everyone, from live music of the Kelly J Band, Delta Sonics and the Hillbilly Rockers to a mechanical bull and games for the kids.  Don't miss Hambone Express and the racing pigs for family fun and unique entertainment.

Barbecue… you name it, we grill it or smoke it.

There’s is more to barbecue than just ribs, chicken, pork and brisket and at last years 15th Annual Colorado Barbecue Challenge we served up everything from BBQ tofu to lamb stuffed sausage, from jalapenos to alligator, if you could name it, we grilled it, or smoked it.

Of course barbecue is about the tender, juicy, smoked meat that just falls off the bone, but there’s so much more. Denver Cajun BBQ Krewe is back with there award winning BBQ and this year they are bringing salmon.  Dreaming of something unique and tasty then do not miss Golden Toad with a shrimp sausage kabob that keeps the line down the street.

Hot and spicy are two adjectives traditionally associated with BBQ. But, these adjectives take on a new meaning when you’re talking about Jalapenos. Last year Frisco Main Street will played host to two different Jalapeno teams. Daddy Jacks will showcase their grilled stuffed jalapenos with bacon and blue cheese. 1-2 BBQ teams smokes their stuffed jalapenos for two hours to unleash an exquisite taste unlike anything else you have sampled.

And if your sweet tooth needs satisfying, we had 10 teams competing in the Dessert category. Funnel Cakes and Ice Cream are just the beginning.
