2012 Spring/Summer
Dog Classes
Class Name: Obedience Practice with Rally
Dates: April 10, 17, 24, May 1
Times: 6-7pm
Cost: $100 for whole session or $30/class drop-in rate
Location: Frisco Community Center – 3rd and Granite
Description: Need to review, rework or just practice your dog’s basic obedience skills such as heel, sit, down, and stay? Rally is an obedience sport that makes this fun and easy! Like it’s counter part in car racing, Dog Rally involves following a course of 10 to 20 signs with your dog in heel position. Each station asks you and your dog to do a specific task involving one of the basic obedience commands. Each course is new and different. Courses can be tailored for novice to advanced participants. Unlike traditional obedience, Rally also encourages humans to talk with and encourage their dogs all of the way through the course. A fun way to practice obedience skills using force free, positive reinforcement methods that encourage human/dog teamwork…and boy do we have fun too!! Classes are taught by Louisa Morrissey, certified professional dog trainer and owner of skijor-n-more. All dogs must have proof of vaccination or titer testing and be in good health.
