Pistols & Pearls

Frisco Celebrates the Museum’s 30th Anniversary!

Join the Frisco Historic Park on Friday – May 31, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for the Museum’s 30th Anniversary Pistols & Pearls Party.  The elegant indoor and outdoor event combines the beauty of the Frisco Historic Park & Museum, with tastes of the Town in an evening to raise funds for historic preservation.  Enjoy sumptuous wines, sample small gourmet plates, dance to live entertainment and tour the museum and park.

Frisco was born from the convergence of ranching and mining as a center point for commerce.  Pistols shaped the town as bartenders and poker games gave Frisco its reputation.  Now, over a hundred years later, Frisco is still the hub bringing in a mix of colorful characters to our Town of opportunity.  Step back in time, adorn your pearls and play a part in Frisco’s rich heritage.

This ticketed fundraising event, celebrating Historic Preservation Month in May, will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.  Explore the historic buildings offering whiskey, wine and beer tasting and sample elegant bites from these fabulous Frisco eateries: The Boat Yard Pizzeria and Grill, Blue Spruce Inn, Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe, Food Hedz World Cafe, The Lost Cajun Restaurant, Peppino’s Pizza and Subs, Prost – Fine Beer and Sausages, Skiveers, Tuscatos Restaurant, Vinny’s Euro American Restaurant and Silverheels Bar & Grill.  The evening will wrap up with a champagne toast and dessert.

Special guests include Dr. Sandra Mather, author of Frisco and the Ten Mile Canyon, who will be here signing books!  The evening will also include live entertainment from Denver Ragtime Trio.  Plan an unforgettable evening to honor Frisco’s heritage and historic preservation, purchase your tickets now!
