With Frisco as your mountain location for family fun, you’ll never be disappointed! With activities in every season, Frisco is the perfect place to plan a long weekend, or a full-on vacation. We’re known as Main Street to the Rockies, which means the town opens the entire region to you, the kids, the grandparents and the family pet, from smack in the middle of Colorado’s playground, Summit County.

Frisco features many yearly signature events, from the Colorado BBQ Challenge in June, to unmatched fireworks displays during Frisco’s Fantastic 4th of July (which includes three full days of fun, festival and fireworks, all in a tremendous mountain atmosphere).

In 2009, Frisco added a very important, environmentally conscious event to the annual docket with the annual Beetlefest. Beetlefest is dedicated to raising awareness and education about the devastating effects caused by the mountain pine beetle to our forests, and features many wacky events including the 4K Beetle Stomp, a bug petting zoo, the Bug Slug (involving sledge hammers and a certain type of popular auto), the DLM Timberworks Lumberjack Show and a tree carving competition. All of the fun is designed to bring a certain levity to a serious situation, while we keep awareness at the top of all of our minds.

Even a normal weekend in Frisco offers endless pastime options. The Frisco Bay Marina is just one launching point from which to experience the Summer-to-Autumn beauty and fun of Lake Dillon, for instance. Plus, Frisco is the perfect basecamp for skiing at three of Colorado’s 26 resorts – Keystone, Copper Mountain and Breckenridge – in the winter, and we’re not too far from Vail and Beaver Creek either. Our central location also makes Frisco a perfect trailhead for hundreds of camping, hiking, road and mountain biking, fishing, mountain climbing and rafting adventures in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

After your adventures, downtown Frisco offers many choices for relaxation, reflection and regeneration, with over 40 bars, cafes and restaurants, all under the beautiful and rugged gaze of the Rocky Mountains.

Browse the possibilities on our site by choosing a season, and be sure to visit often, to catch the latest news and events!
